Northampton resident Sarita Patel has her eye on achieving the Triple-Triple-Triple Crown this year from Toastmasters Inernational.
Participants can earn a “Triple Crown” by completing education level awards that involve giving multiple speeches. Patel has earned three Triple Crowns in this Toastmaster year. She has the most education level awards this year in District 53, which serves parts of Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York, and has around 2,250 members in 112 Clubs.
Patel has been a member of Toastmasters since May 2019. On 7/1/21 she assumed the role of Speakeasy's Club President.
***************************************************************************************
Zoom Style Toastmaster Meetings will be held until further notice in order to keep the spirit of our club and continue the professional and personal growth of our members! Please join us !
• Three club members present timed speeches to the Club, working from the TMs Educational programs, and are then given written and oral feedback by an Evaluator. In addition, everyone in attendance (both Club members and guests) offer written feedback on the speeches.
• Various Club members take on roles (i.e. Toastmaster, General Evaluator, Timer, ah counter, etc.) to ensure meetings run swiftly, on time, and provide a learning experience to all.
• Table Topics®, a fun competition open to Club members and guests in which participants briefly speak on a wide variety of topics in hopes of winning the ribbon that night for the best 2-minute impromptu speech.
Overall, members at our Club, and at other Toastmaster Clubs, learn by doing the various speeches and taking on Leadership roles. Members set their own goals and work at their own pace to achieve their Toastmaster goals.
Our Club is comprised of many ambitious individuals, and we proudly welcome more people to contribute to our meetings, and to the Club as a whole. The skills that people learn at Speakeasy and other Clubs, are transferable skills that will help improve an individual’s career.
